01. What is Sculptra?
Sculptra stimulates your own collagen production and restores volume to smile lines, temples, cheeks, and the lower face. Sculptra restores vital protein structures and promotes collagen production, which can plump and fill some cases of lax skin.
02. how does sculptra work?
On the day of your injection, you will feel like you see immediate results; however, these are temporary. Sculptra is mixed with sterile water prior to injecting, so the improvement you see immediately after is due to the volume of water being injected. While most patients love this temporary volumization, this typically goes away about 48 hours after injection. Sculptra begins working by having your body to stimulate your own collagen production, which you will begin seeing the results of weeks to months after injection, creating a notable improvement in the plumpness and texture of your skin.
03. when will i see results?
Sculptra has been studied heavily and has shown to have results that last at least two to three years. To ensure that your results last, maintenance appointments are encouraged.
04. How long do results last?
The number of Sculptra treatments varies from person to person. On average, we recommend at least two to three treatments spaced about four to six weeks apart. After this is complete, we recommend yearly Sculptra (or "Birthday Sculptra") to maintain your natural results!
05. How many treatments are needed?
As with all injectables, there is a risk of swelling and bruising, which may be more significant depending on your personal factors. We highly recommend scheduling your Sculptra treatment two weeks before a special occasion or event.
06. Is there any downtime?
All patients receive injections from our dual board-certified Nurse Practitioner, who has over ten years of experience.
