I don’t know of a single patient that would turn down having smooth, glowing, and younger-looking skin. Thankfully, Skin + Aesthetics has a treatment option that can help with exactly that— Hydrafacial!
You may have heard of “hydrofacials”, “hydradermabrasion”, or other similar names, but Hydrafacial is a patented skin treatment that offers medical-grade skincare staples and has proven to be effective through rigorous studies. It has won mutiple awards and was even again just named as a best facial you can receive. If you don’t see the specific name “Hydrafacial” on the machine, you’re not getting the real-deal treatment! Known for its three-step process, Hydrafacials work by deep-cleaning, exfoliating, and hydrating your skin. If you’re curious about Hydrafacials and if it’s worth the hype, let me tell you a bit about it and then you can decide!
What is a HydraFacial?
Hydrafacial is a non−invasive treatment for all skin types with no downtime. It is known for being “3 steps, 30 minutes, and the best skin of your life”. Hydrafacial is a comprehensive treatment that incorporates cleansing the skin with both a physical and chemical peel. It offers pain−free extractions while it nourishes and detoxifies the skin— all with no downtime!
Hydrafacials must always be performed and administered by a licensed provider, whether an aesthetician or medical provider. As of right now, your Hydrafacial treatment at Skin + Aesthetics will be performed by me, a dual board-certified nurse practitioner. The overall procedure is completed in three (3) parts:
This first step is a physical and chemical peel that cleanses and exfoliates. Your provider will use the patented vortex-like wand, which will be placed on your skin to clear all the dirt and oil away from the surface of your skin during this process. For the cleansing step, we begin with Hydrafacial’s Activ-4 solution, which has ingredients such as glucosamine and lactic acid to exfoliate, as well as algae extract to calm and soothe. This step provides benefits such as softening of your pores, lifting of impurities, improvement of your skin’s hydration, and skin healing. Next, the peeling process follows. This “hydropeel” includes both glycolic and salicylic acids to help the skin exfoliate and resurface. Prior to your Hydrafacial, we will discuss your specific skin type and concerns. Based on that conversation, I will select the right strength of Gly-Sal for you, as we carry all available strengths by Hydrafacial at Skin + Aesthetics for a truly customized treatment that you may not find at other Hydrafacial provider’s offices.
After the cleanse and peel step, Hydrafacial then delivers extraction and hydration. Painless suction or vacuum-like attachments on the wand’s tip helps to extract debris from your pores gently but effectively. This step involves using Hydrafacial’s Beta-HD solution, which has ingredients such as honey extract, salicylic acid, Spiraea Ulmaria flower extract, willow bark extract, and Tasmanian pepper. These ingredients work to break apart and remove blackheads, whiteheads, and sebum to clear congested skin. Simultaneously, your skin gets nourished with intense moisturizers.
Last, the final step involves detoxifying and protecting your skin from possible environmental free radicals while also replenishing the natural hydration and elasticity of your skin. Here, we use Hydrafacial’s AntiOx+ serum, which contains hyaluronic acid, Miehei Mucor extract, green tea antioxidant, arnica, copper PCA, magnesium PCA, zinc PCA, and red algae extract. These ingredients work to moisturize, brighten, calm, brighten, and stimulate collagen, which then leads to improvement of fine lines, wrinkles, oily skin, and hyperpigmentation.
Depending on which Hydrafacial treatment you select, this step may be followed by customized medical-grade boosters to target your specific skin concerns, with lip or eye perks to address your specific concerns, or with red or blue light therapy.
Hydrafacials help improve the skin’s texture, tone, and overall appearance. Due to its deep exfoliation that helps clean your pores, HydraFacials remove debris and allow for much better penetration of serums designed to fit your skin type and target your concerns.
Hydrafacial tackles:
Hydrafacial can enhance the outcomes of any current treatments or products. This unique treatment incorporates lymphatic drainage to detoxify and reduce inflammation, a chemical and physical peel, and gentle extractions with nourishing and hydrating serums. We can also incorporate blue or red LED treatment depending on your skin condition. There is no other treatment that will give you such a comprehensive result while enjoying a relaxing facial! You have to get it, to truly GET IT!
As far as with add-ons, we are also happy to be able to provide our patients with the options of dermaplaning and/or lymphatic drainage. While we are well-aware that our prices may be different than other Hydrafacial providers, it is worth noting that at Skin + Aesthetics, you will receive a personalized consultation for your skin with a nurse practitioner with ten years of dermatology experience and that will never change. Additionally, we also offer the Hydrafacial Syndeo, which is the newest Hydrafacial technology that prevents fake or knock-off serums from being used during your treatment, which means you can rest assured that you are receiving a treatment with the ingredients that Hydrafacial has studied and proven to give you excellent results that you can see!
