I’ve talked about HydraFacial treatments and how they work before, but today I want to really focus on how HydraFacial is a treatment that can tackle a number of issues! By the end of today’s blog, I’m hoping you’ll be as big of a believer in HydraFacial as I am!

For Acne

Anyone who knows me knows that I love a good study, which is probably pretty evident from the number of studies I’ve referenced in previous S+A blog posts! You can tell me something works all day long and I’ll still likely be skeptical, but if you can actually show me a legitimate study proving the efficacy of a treatment, I’m all ears! • Following the patients’ final treatment, investigators agreed or strongly agreed that 100 percent of patients had both clearer/healthier and more radiant skin and that more than 80 percent had both reduced erythema (redness) and less oiliness and congestion.
• Following the patients’ final treatment, 100 percent of patients agreed or strongly agreed that they felt more confident in their appearance and that their skin looked and felt cleaner.
• Following the patients’ final treatment, more than 80 percent agreed or strongly agreed that their skin looked clearer, looked less inflamed, and had fewer acne lesions compared to baseline Microdermabrasion techniques.

This means that both the patients and their providers both noted clearer skin in every single patient that was studied. I like those odds!

For Blackheads

Just like I said that if you know me, you know I love studies, I also know that if you know me, you know I really value transparency and honesty. HydraFacial is a treatment that works by exfoliating and uses its patented Vortex-Fusion handpiece to apply suction to the face, making it an excellent treatment for blackheads. The downfall is that it is an excellent option for superficial blackheads and whiteheads.

If you have a stubborn blackhead or one that has been hanging around for a while, we would need to use aggressive suction and pressure to tackle that bad boy. That means that we would risk breaking capillaries or causing trauma to the skin, both of which we do not want to do.
