Introducing S+A’s new monthly blog– skincare spotlight! Each month, on top of our normal routine blogging where I discuss all things skin and aesthetics (see what I did there?), I’m also going to begin an additional blog where I will discuss each of S+A’s skincare lines and even individual products as we move forward, showing you why I just had to have them as part of the clinic, why I love them, and why you will too! First up: let’s get to know Alastin Skincare.
Alastin is known for its innovative and effective skincare products and I knew I couldn’t open my clinic without it. The brand as a whole is committed to creating cutting-edge skincare products that address a plethora of skin concerns. They’re also dedicated to using scientifically-proven ingredients, which is basically my love language. Because of this, they’ve really build a name for themself as a company focused on promoting skin health and rejuvenation, the two main goals of Skin + Aesthetics. Although I could talk forever about it, let’s keep it broad today and explore the background of Alastin Skincare, their key products, and the reasons why they have garnered such a positive reputation in the beauty and skincare industry.
Alastin Skincare began in 2015 when the company was founded with a vision to create innovative and effective skincare products that support and enhance the skin’s natural rejuvenation processes. It was founded by a team of individuals passionate about skincare and committed to advancing the field of dermatology. Because of this, they collaborated with leading scientists, dermatologists, and skincare experts from the beginning (and still today) to create cutting-edge formulations based on thorough research and clinical studies.
The mission of Alastin was to develop scientifically-backed formulations that could address various skin concerns and provide visible results. When I initially met with Alastin, I was able to review several of their clinical studies and these included actual slides following punch biopsies. While much of aesthetic dermatology is pretty gimmicky, this is a method that can’t be skewed and I was so appreciative of seeing the true results that could be achieved from usage of their products.
One of the defining features of Alastin Skincare is its patented TriHex Technology®. This proprietary blend of peptides and other active ingredients aims to support the skin’s natural ability to produce collagen and elastin, essential proteins responsible for skin firmness and elasticity. This technology is included in our post-procedure care, which is why I add it in to some of our procedures at S+A for free!
Skin + Aesthetics is proud to carry the majority of Alastin products in our clinic, so you can come by and grab them at any time! The brand is known for some of the most widely-loved products, which include:
Over the years, Alastin Skincare has expanded its product line to cater to a broader range of skin concerns, which now include targeting aging, sun damage, pigmentation issues, and overall skin health!
Alastin Skincare has earned the trust and endorsement of many dermatologists and skincare professionals over a relatively short amount of time and this is mostly due to their commitment to scientific research, efficacy, and safety. As part of their ethical principles, Alastin Skincare emphasized being cruelty-free and environmentally responsible. They prioritize ethical sourcing of ingredients and maintained sustainable practices in their operations.
Although we will continue to break down individual products by Alastin in the coming months, it is easy to see why it was a must-have when creating S+A.
