Although we had hoped and planned to open our doors in January, that just didn’t happen. Every speed bump and roadblock has led me to be even more thankful for the opportunity to be home after 12 years away and to be opening my very own practice. While this is easily the scariest thing I’ve ever done (by a long shot), it’s also the most exciting.

The Story Behind S+A

I first had a dream of opening my own clinic back in 2019. At that time, it was just that– a dream. After seeing firsthand how the realm of aesthetic dermatology isn’t all glitz and glamour, I was upset that patients were being lied to and misled. I wanted to open my own clinic so that I knew with certainty that wouldn’t happen under my watch, but I was too scared.

Fast forward a few years and continuing to see unethical behavior happening without patients’ knowledge all over the country, I finally decided that I wanted to open my own practice and be different. Knowing that several excellent practices do exist in Cookeville (Lett Aesthetics, Glow Medspa, and Let’s Face It), it was a scary decision to make this leap of faith. However, my goal was excellence in aesthetic dermatology and my belief is that Cookeville is big enough for multiple excellent providers without it being a competition. That brings us to today, the birth of Skin + Aesthetics.

A True Passion

After ten years in dermatology, I wake up every day still loving skin just as much as the first day I started. I love learning and growing and am looking forward to building relationships with each and every person that trusts me to take care of their skin. Skin + Aesthetics will be hosting its official grand opening party on April 21, 2023 with a ribbon cutting at 4:00 pm and grand opening celebration to follow until 7:00pm. Everyone, regardless of age, gender, race, or anything else, is welcome and wanted. We will be serving light refreshments and will be having several giveaways including a $500 S+A gift card, Hydrafacial treatment, Morpheus8 package (worth $3000!) and much more! I sincerely hope to see you all there!
